DRUG & ALCOHOL INTERVENTION SERVICE FOR YOUTH

How can I refer a young person I know or am working with into DAISY?
If you know or are working with a young person and want to refer into our service or find out more about what we can offer, you can call us or email. Or you can download a referral form and send it to us and we will then contact you to discuss the referral. We will take referrals from any agency working with a young person that is using alcohol or drugs. If you do not represent an agency with a professional relationship with the young person (e.g. you are a parent or a friend of the young person) and wish to make a referral, simply call us and we will discuss how we can help.
Once a referral is made to DAISY, we will arrange to conduct an assessment with the young person and discuss the case with the referrer before agreeing how the service can best support the young person. We offer a range of therapeutic and non-therapeutic intervention options and a care plan will be developed that responds to the young persons individual needs. If there is a need for support that involves their family members we can offer informal information and advice or structured family support if appropriate. We will agree at the outset what information we can share with you regarding the young persons involvement in the service and keep you updated throughout the process.
